ANDY B & THE WORLD

After years of touring, playing quite literally everywhere in Mr Zippy, Fandangle, New Riot & Upbeat Allstars, Andy went it alone and wrote an album, but with a difference: He wanted to record it not with a band, but with friends old and new in the worldwide community of the music scene. A chance to catch up with old touring friends, and bring people that had never met together.

Fast forward to 2021, and "Andy B & The World - The First One" was released - with a whopping 172 musicians from the global Ska Punk scene and beyond. Members of Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, RX Bandits, Gwar, Hayseed Dixie, Zebrahead, The Slackers and so on sharing the same limelight on the same songs as those just starting out - and everyone in between. Not to mention with all of the profits going to charity.

Not content with already being three-figures into a planned 500-musician follow up, the project has now also born a live band, and a sideline of non-collaborative albums with Andy at the helm, with their most non-collaborative "Minus The World" album dropping in January 2024.

The band take audience participation to a new level too - it's not uncommon for an impromptu gang vocal to be recorded mid set, to be used on "The Second One"....
